Donald Simmons, 58, was arrested again on charges of possessing child pornography by the state police on Feb. 2, 2017.

The charges date back to 2015. The police interrogation of Simmons took place at the Osborn Correctional Institution in Somers, Conn., where according to the police arrest warrant he has been incarcerated for almost two years.

Simmons, a former resident of Sharon Valley Road, was convicted in 1995 of harassment in the second degree, and in 2010 of sexual assault in the second degree, tampering with a witness and violation of probation.

Veach arrested on DWI charges

Millerton resident Alan Veach, 24, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Sunday, Aug. 11, in the village of Millerton.
“At approximately 12:55 a.m. Officer Joseph Kilmer was on patrol and observed a vehicle nearly lose control while turning from Main Street on to South Elm Avenue,” said Officer-in-Charge David Rudin.
The driver was seen by Kilmer driving south on South Elm Street in the north-bound lane.
He was pulled over and identified as Veach, then given a series of sobriety tests.
