WINSTED — Timothy J. Hall of Winsted died June 3, 2011. Visitation hours were held June 7. Cook Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Peter J. Kennedy

WEST HARTFORD — Peter J. Kennedy, 58, loving husband of Kate Cantwell Kennedy, passed away peacefully Monday evening, May 30, 2011, with family and friends around him.

Peter was born March 13, 1953, in Hartford to Marion (Hoar) and Philip J. Kennedy. He grew up in Hartford and West Hartford and graduated from Northwest Catholic High School.

Gerald Bauman Jr.

SHARON — Gerald Bauman Jr. passed away on June 4, 2011.

He was born in Sharon on Feb. 3, 1928, and moved with his family to Miami in the 1930s.

He graduated from Miami Senior High and joined the Army where he served as a master sergeant with the Allied forces in Japan after World War II.

He attended the University of Miami and then the University of Florida, from which he graduated with a B.S. in chemical engineering in 1955.

In 1952, he married Elizabeth Selfridge of Lakeville.

Harriette (Koffler) Dorsen

WEST CORNWALL — Harriette (Koffler) Dorsen, 68, of West Cornwall died, peacefully and with her family at her side, on June 5, 2011, at Noble Horizons in Salisbury.

She was born Aug. 26, 1942, in Newark, N.J., the daughter of the late Sondra and Joseph Koffler.

She married Norman Dorsen on Nov. 25, 1965. He survives at home.

Harriette was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and New York University School of Law. After taking time to raise her children, she joined the New York law firm of Lankenau, Kovner and Bickford, where she rose to become a managing partner.

Robert D. Francis Sr.

MILLERTON — Robert D. Francis Sr., 77, a lifetime resident of Millerton, passed away May 29, 2011.

Robert was born on Feb. 17, 1934, in Sharon, the son of the late Catherine (McHugh) and William Francis.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Lena Francis of Millerton; his faithful dog, Sam; his daughters, Cindy Heck and her husband, John, of Millerton and Michelle Gallo of Essex, Vt.; his son, Robert Francis Jr. of Millerton; his sister, Mary Anderson of Millerton; and his grandchildren John Heck Jr., Danielle Heck, Caleb Gallo, Roshelle Gallo and Crystal Gallo.

Evelyn ‘Meme’ Clara Ora (LaMothe) Harvey

NORTH CANAAN — Evelyn “Meme” Clara Ora (LaMothe) Harvey, 85, died on June 4, 2011, at Sharon Hospital after a brief illness.

The daughter of the late Anna and Leo LaMothe was born on Dec. 20, 1925, in Georgia, Vt. Meme was a dedicated wife to the late Daniel Karl Harvey. She was an amazing mother, loving grandmother and spirited great-grandmother.

She volunteered for more than 30 years at Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a talented seamstress and avid reader. She spent her time divided between her homes in North Canaan and North Fort Meyers, Fla.

Giovanni ‘John’ Alfred Segalla

AMENIA — Giovanni “John” Alfred Segalla, 88, of Leedsville Road, passed away at Sharon Hospital, June 2, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in North Canaan on Nov. 17, 1922, he was the son of the late Gustina (Pasin) and Giovanni Segalla. He was a graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional High School, class of 1942, where he excelled on the baseball field playing shortstop. He also played basketball.

He married Amelia Peretti on Nov. 11, 1947, in St. Joseph’s Church in North Canaan. They were happily married for 63 years. Mrs. Segalla survives at home.

Kenneth Carleton Weir

SALISBURY — Kenneth Carleton Weir, 88, died June 4, 2011, at Noble Horizons. He was the husband of Jeannette (Hill) Weir of Lakeville and the late Janet (MacNeil) Weir.

Ken was born Aug. 14, 1922, in Suffield, Mass., son of the late Bertha A. (Hazelton) and Irving H. Weir.

Ken was employed at The Lakeville Journal as a printing press operator. During World War II he served his country in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater of Operation.

He was a member of the Salisbury Congregational Church and held the distinction of being the longest tenured member of the church.

Elsa M. (Wulff) Zinke

NORTH CANAAN — Elsa M. (Wulff) Zinke, 96, of South Lancaster, Mass., died May 29, 2011.

She was the widow of Norbert Zinke.

She was born May 3, 1915, in Barbis, Germany, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1951, settling in New York City.

In 1979 she relocated to North Canaan, where she remained until moving to South Lancaster in 2000.

Elsa was a former member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North Canaan. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, classical music and singing.

Charles A. St.Onge

ORLANDO, Fla. — Charles Amos St.Onge, 85, died April 26, 2011, at Florida East Hospital following a sudden illness. He was the husband of Carol (Tesner) St.Onge.

Mr. St.Onge was born in Torrington on Dec. 16, 1925, the twin son of the late Helen (Donahue) and Walter J. St.Onge, formerly of Torrington.

Charles attended the original one-room Torringford School with five classes, St. Francis School and Torrington High School, which he left before graduation in 1943 after enlistment in the U.S. Navy Air Corps cadet training program.
