Millerton

MILLERTON — With attendance dwindling as it is in so many churches, members of the Millerton Presbyterian Church have decided to open their minds and their doors to an alternative option by dropping Sunday worship and welcoming all in the community to Saturday 4 p.m. services and social hours.

Noting that village activity always seems to pick up with more residents and visitors on the streets that day as they head for dinner or a movie, Pastor Zora Ficarra-Cheatham hopes the afternoon schedule might be more welcoming to all who are invited — church members or not.
