COLEBROOK — After winning a ribbon in last year’s frog-jumping contest at the Colebrook Fair, Sarah Barry returned Saturday, Sept. 1, for a repeat victory. 

“He’s a big jumper!” said the 10-year-old as she peered into a glass vessel containing Perry the frog. The sprightly amphibian had escaped its enclosure that morning, said Sarah’s mom, Carmen, resulting in a mad scramble across the kitchen counter to capture the feisty hopper. So Sarah kept a tight lid on Perry until show time.
