COLEBROOK — For 87-year-old Ted Veling,  World War II  and his memories of the Nazis invading his country are as fresh in his mind as if they just happened.

Veling spoke about his experiences at the Colebrook Historical Society’s Friday Night Gathering  on Friday, July 13.

Veling, who now lives in Norfolk, was born in Amsterdam in 1930. His family moved to the nearby city of Hilversum in the Netherlands when he was young.
